Thank you for making a booking with The Lodge Morocco. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully before completing your reservation.

1. Definitions

1.1. “The Guest” refers to the individual or individuals who make the booking and act as the primary contact for communication with The Lodge.
1.2. “Group Organiser” refers to the individual responsible for bookings made on behalf of a group.

2. Bookings

2.1. By confirming a booking, The Guest acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
2.2. Group organisers are responsible for accepting these terms on behalf of their group.
2.3. If you are booking on behalf of others, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept these terms on their behalf.
2.4. Bookings can only be made via our website, Airbnb, or Booking.com. A minimum stay of 2 nights is required.
2.5. A booking is considered confirmed when The Lodge issues a Booking Confirmation. Payment obligations begin upon confirmation and remain in effect unless cancelled by The Guest.
2.6. The Lodge reserves the right to refuse any bookings at its sole discretion without providing a reason.

3. Payment and Insurance

3.1. All prices are listed in Euros (€).
3.2. The Guest is responsible for securing travel insurance, which must include coverage for surfing activities, medical emergencies, and evacuation.
3.3. Payments must be made within the specified timeframe; failure to pay may result in cancellation without refund.

4. Cancellations

4.1. Deposits are non-refundable.
4.2. Cancellation refund policy:

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more before arrival: Refund minus a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival: Non-refundable.

4.3. Extenuating circumstances may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis with supporting documentation.
4.4. The Lodge is not responsible for travel-related expenses in the event of a cancellation. Guests are encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

5. Force Majeure

5.1. The Lodge is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or acts of terrorism.
5.2. Proof, such as government announcements or advisories, is required to validate cancellations under these circumstances.

6. Check-In and Check-Out

6.1. Check-in time: 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
6.2. Check-out time: 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
6.3. The Lodge is not responsible for travel arrangements, including delayed or cancelled flights or visas.

7. Group Bookings

7.1. Group organisers are liable for all costs associated with their booking.
7.2. The Lodge reserves the right to cancel group bookings if payments are not received as scheduled.

8. Discount Vouchers

8.1. Discount vouchers cannot be combined with other offers or used for additional activities.
8.2. Vouchers are valid only for the specified time and are non-refundable.
8.3. Bookings made with discount vouchers must be paid in full within the validity period.

9. Agencies and Third Parties

9.1. Agencies must adhere to The Lodge’s pricing unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9.2. The Lodge reserves the right to reject or cancel bookings transferred to an agency.

10. Drug and Alcohol Policy

10.1. Substance abuse, including illegal drugs, is strictly prohibited.
10.2. Alcohol consumption is permitted but must be done responsibly.
10.3. Guests violating this policy may be removed from the property, and their booking cancelled without refund.

11. Liability

11.1. The Lodge is not responsible for loss, liability, or claims arising from website use or third-party bookings.

12. 24-Hour Free Cancellation Period

12.1. Guests may cancel within 24 hours of receiving a Booking Confirmation for a full refund.
12.2. Failure to provide proof of payment within this period may result in the cancellation of the booking without refund.

13. General

13.1. Travel, health, and cancellation insurance is the sole responsibility of The Guest.
13.2. The Lodge will assist in providing documentation for insurance claims but does not provide insurance coverage.

House Rules

Checking-In

  1. Check-in is available anytime after 3:00 PM.
  2. Early arrivals: You may leave your luggage at reception free of charge and use the common areas to relax until your room is ready.
  3. Late arrivals: If you plan to arrive after 10:00 PM or between 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM, please inform us in advance so we can arrange for a staff member to assist you.

Proof of Identity and Age Restrictions

  1. All guests must provide a valid passport or government-issued photographic ID upon check-in (note: driving licenses are not accepted).
  2. We cannot accommodate children under the age of 8 as we do not provide cots or child beds.

Checking-Out

  1. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Please return your room key and any rented items (e.g., adapters, beach towels) to reception before this time.
  2. Late check-outs will incur a charge of 500 MAD.
  3. You may store your luggage at reception for the afternoon free of charge.

Payments

  1. We accept cash (EUR, USD, MAD) and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, PayPal). A 10% surcharge applies to credit card payments.
  2. There are ATMs available in town and nearby for cash withdrawals.

Room Key

  1. Keep your room key secure at all times. Lost keys will incur a replacement fee of 500 MAD.

Private Lockers

  1. Dormitory guests have access to private lockers for storing valuables.

Padlocks, EU Adaptors, and Beach Towels

  1. Padlocks are provided for lockers.
  2. EU power adaptors are available for rent at reception if needed.
  3. Beach towels can be rented for the duration of your stay.

Food and Alcohol

  1. Store all food in the kitchen provided. Fridge and cupboard space is available—please consult staff for assistance. Do not store perishable food in your room to avoid pests.
  2. Alcohol is not sold on-site but may be brought in. Store alcohol securely in your locker. Consumption is permitted, but guests must behave responsibly. Disruptive behavior due to alcohol will not be tolerated.
  3. Drinking water is provided at all times from a filtered tap in the kitchen.

Smoking

  1. Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Smoking indoors (e.g., in rooms or common areas) will result in a 1000 MAD fine. Repeated offenses will lead to eviction without a refund.
  2. Use ashtrays provided by staff; do not attempt to empty ashtrays yourself.

Drugs

  1. Possession, use, or sale of illegal drugs on the property is strictly prohibited. Guests found in violation will be asked to leave immediately without a refund, and the police may be contacted if necessary.

Weapons

  1. Weapons of any kind (e.g., knives, firearms, ammunition) are prohibited on the property. Guests found in possession of weapons will be evicted immediately without a refund.

Attitude and Behavior

  1. The Lodge is a community-first space with zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, or any form of verbal or physical abuse. Violators will be evicted immediately without a refund.

Pets

  1. Pets are not allowed on the property to accommodate guests with allergies.
